This is one of my ultimate summer soundtrack from the newest Acid House Kings album, “Sing Along with the Acid House Kings” (2005). When I first heard it, I thought Niklas Angergard (one of the vocalist, the other is a woman with husky voice called Julia Lannerheim) sing “I write summer songs for sentimental reason…” in the chorus. The charming-sweet vocals of him makes this song a perfect soundtrack for your summer trip to the beach… or just dozing in the hammocks while sipping your lemonade.
I write summer songs for no reason
Getting used to this person
I know that I’m not gonna let her down
She’s on my mind in the mornings
And every waking hour of the day
Stop pretending
You know that it’s ending with you
With you
Stop pretending
You know what I’m sending to you
To you
You know I write summer songs for no reason
But to make you smile when you feel down
To take away the deepest frown
You know I write summer songs for no reason
But to take your mind of worldly things
To make you know what summer makes me think
Letting her do the talking
I have already said what there’s to say
She’s in the photos I’ve taken
And every story that I choose to tell
Stop pretending
You know that it’s ending with you
With you
Stop pretending
You know what I’m sending to you
To you
You know I write summer songs for no reason
But to make you smile when you feel down
To take away the deepest frown
You know I write summer songs for no reason
But to take your mind of worldly things
To make you know what summer makes me think
